Claude Verdan Foundation
For nearly fifteen years, the Claude Verdan Foundation - Hand Museum has presented interactive exhibitions on topical themes that concern everybody. An exciting and original way of looking at our society.
Inaugurated in 1997, the Claude Verdan Foundation - Hand Museum is dedicated to scientific and medical culture. It develops thematic, interdisciplinary and interactive exhibitions on aspects related to the human body and to medicine.
Its activities aim at raising the awareness of the population as a whole, and of young people in particular, about the issues of biotechnological innovations. Its dynamic and original presentations contribute to creating citizen debates.
Its appreciated exhibitions - close to thirty - are always a great success, especially with families and schools.
Events and meetings
These exhibitions always go hand in hand with a sustained programme of playful workshops with a scientific and creative content specifically geared to children.
The museum regularly publishes teaching materials in partnership with Ecole-Musée. These materials are available to families and teachers on www.verdan.ch
A substantial conference cycle invites the public to interact with specialists from various horizons on topical themes of a scientific and cultural nature.
