The City of Lausanne and its surroundings in Switzerland is a place called home by more than 40 International Federations and other sports world governing bodies. Since Baron Pierre de Coubertin chose the city to establish the headquarters of the IOC in 1915, Lausanne, and the State of Vaud around it, has become an international centre for sports management.
The last edition of the OCQ was released in October 2009.
As the world sport is becoming more competitive, there is a need for a permanent forum where new ideas can be exchanged between professionals. A place where sports administrators can come together easily, to share their experiences and to learn from each other so that they can become better at what they do, everyday.
Lausanne is that platform. «Olympic Capital Quartely» is a quarterly newsletter, edited in English, created to research new tendencies in sports management which are regularly treated by the sports international federations based in Lausanne and in its Region, during seminaries and other forms of interaction.
