The most hip and happening contemporary music festival of the autumn
Four concert halls and clubs in Lausanne are joining forces under the auspices of the Metropop festival, which takes its name from a contraction of pop and Métropole, the name of the main venue in the city centre for what is one of the most eagerly awaited festivals of the season.
There will be 20 concerts in all, many of them expected to be given by leading lights in the contemporary music scene: Le Peuple de l’Herbe, Wax Tailor, Happy Mondays, Tiken Jah Fakoly and The Abyssinians, to mention just a few.
Post-concert parties, free on presentation of the entrance wristband, will be held in various spots across the city to ensure that the festivities keep on going.
