Milo Martin – Aurore

Renowned Lausanne sculptor Milo Martin left his mark in French-speaking Switzerland between the wars with his naiads, ephebes and messengers from the gods, portrayed in fluid and clear lines. Aurora, the Roman goddess, finds her place in this genre of revisited classicism. Sculpted from a single 70-tonne block, this work illustrates the characteristic style of the artist, who produced many other statues visible in Lausanne's public spaces.
