Charles-Oscar Chollet – L.N.1

Commissioned to decorate the facade of Vidy power station, the artist took as his inspiration the graphic qualities of electric circuits, reinterpreting them for artistic purposes. The work thus combines geometrical abstraction and concrete reality, monumentalism and lightness in keeping with ‘Concrete art’, of which Chollet is one of the principal proponents.
