Daniel Schlaepfer – Arbre à l'envers
A startling sight, a white tree rooted in the ceiling appears to be growing the wrong way round, top down, as if to be swallowed up by the bowels of the earth, or to connect the world with the underworld. It accompanies users of the car park as they descend the ramp. This installation immerses us too in the history of le Flon; what if this tree were one of those that stood tall in the valley when it was still green and wooded?
