Zaric – Côté cour: Anehom lisant Voltaire et Femlièvre
Sitting on a low wall, a ‘mule-man’ is reading Voltaire’s novel The White Bull, while a ‘hare-woman’ lying nearby observes him adoringly. The artist chose this particular book for a good reason: it tells the story of a man’s metamorphosis into a bull, reflecting the theme of the artist’s sculptures – the fluid border between humans and animals.
